How accurate is the AI food scanner?

Our food recognition uses advanced AI and is correct for most common foods, but it is an estimate. For best results, take the photo in even lighting, capture the entire plate, and tap any detected food to edit the portion size or ingredients. AI output is informational — please verify before relying on it for medical purposes.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by the App Store or Google Play, not by CalDesk AI. To cancel:

I lost access after reinstalling — how do I restore my subscription?

Open CalDesk AI → Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used originally.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Open CalDesk AI → Settings → Privacy → Export Data. You will receive a JSON file with your profile, meals, workouts, and progress. For a written request, email [email protected].

How do I delete my account?

Open CalDesk AI → Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. Your data is removed within 30 days. If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] from the address on your account.

Does CalDesk AI work without an internet connection?

Most logging works offline — your meals, workouts, and water entries are stored locally and synced automatically when you reconnect. AI food scanning and meal-plan generation require a connection.

Why does CalDesk AI need Health permissions?

Apple Health / Google Fit access lets us read your steps, active calories, weight, sleep, and workouts so your daily summary is accurate. We never share Health data with third parties, and you can revoke access any time in your device's Settings.

I'm a coach — how do I get verified?

Create your account, switch to the Professional dashboard, complete your profile, and upload your certification under Settings → Professional → Verification. Our team typically reviews within 3 business days.

The app crashed or behaved unexpectedly.

Email [email protected] with: your device model, iOS/Android version, app version (Settings → About), and a short description of what you were doing. Screenshots help.

How is my data secured?

Connections use TLS, passwords are hashed with bcrypt, sensitive fields are encrypted at rest, and access to production data is restricted to engineers under audit. See the Privacy Policy for the full description.
